TERAA team members have worked together in the planning of the Professional Development Seminar on Transdisciplinary Approaches to Integrating Policy and Science for Sustainability, offered by the Inter American Institute for Global Change Research. The Seminar will be developed in two parts. The first part will be held in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, 28 November – 2 December 2016 and the second part in Calgary, Canada, 29 May -2 June 2017. The latter will be hosted by the University of Calgary. Twenty-seven professionals coming from academia, government agencies, nongovernmental organization and businesses from 15 countries in the Americas will attend the seminar. The IAI is funding the seminar with resources from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). Additional co-sponsors are the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the Sao Paulo’s Research Foundation (FAPESP). The seminar will be an excellent venue to further identify multinational collaborators and to share TERAA’s findings at a continental scale.
